We did two tours through this company while in Roatan and my husband and loved our driver Shonna so much we used her for both tours. She was a very safe driver. She had so much knowledge of the island and culture, it was great having her show us around. She knew all the great spots and local foods and customs, she shared it all with us and stopped in these places for us to enjoy the culture. She treated us like family. We first did Daniel’s Sloths and Monkeys/Little French Key tour and then the Mangroves/Punta Gorda tour. Sloth’s/monkey’s is a fun quick little stop. Little French key was near empty the day we went, some areas closed off. Animals roaming around were awesome. The good snorkeling is further off from the beach, only by boat. Place is run down and falling apart. Food was just ok, drinks were very good. Mangroves tour was good, Captain Alex had a lot of knowledge. It was a cloudy day so we missed the full beauty of the water. The garifuna dancing and singing in Punta Gorda was fun (go on a Sunday only to see them dancing) Both tours had their ups and downs (the individual stops themselves are not run by 5 Star Roatan). We would definitely use this company again and highly recommend asking for Shonna to be your driver, she will not disappoint.

Simon made this trip a special memory for our entire group of 8, not 2 or 3 or 4 people but 8! We arrived on port to find our booking agency cancelled our excursion and failed to notify us. Simon remained very professional in a situation most could not. He quickly resolved the issue and we’re very thankful for Simon and this company for making our trip fun and an everlasting memory!

We did the city tour, with sloths and rum cake factory and dolphin encounter. Let’s say they did an awesome job. We had no stress. They were easily recognizable by their uniforms. Simon our guide was funny, professional, and very knowledgeable. He had a wealth of knowledge and it was like a tour within a tour. When we go back we will be using them again. Take it from my family they were top notch.

Excellent professional service with very knowledgeable and helpful tour guide and clear van. Initially our tour was started a little late due to parking issues and congestion in the port area, but later our tour guide made for it. Overall great service.

Using Roatan Five Stars as a cruise shore excursion was a wonderful experience. For half the price of a ship-sponsored excursion, we received basically a private tour of the western side of the island of Roatan provided by a most friendly and knowledgeable native guide. The tour was customizable and we were free to stop and take pictures as we wished. Roatan Five Stars is the way to go, getting more bang for your buck.

Had a wonderful experience with Shonda during our day in Port on November 20th! She made sure we were well taken care of and waited after our cruise was a bit late disembarking. She managed to fit in all our requests with ziplining, monekys and sloths, shopping, photo opps, as well as both the chocolate and rum tasting experiences! We can't wait to return for other experiences in the future and will definitely use Roatan Five Stars again. Thanks for everything Shonda!
