At Roatan Five Stars, we prioritize delivering exceptional experiences to our guests. We understand that plans can change, and unforeseen circumstances may arise. Our refund and cancellation policy is designed to be fair and transparent, ensuring clarity for all parties involved.
If you believe your booking qualifies for a refund or if you have any questions regarding this policy, please contact us with all relevant details so we can review your request and assist you promptly.
We offer a 100% refund under the following conditions:
Inclement Weather: If severe weather conditions (e.g., storms, heavy rain) make it unsafe or impossible to conduct the tour.
Cruise Ship Inability to Dock: If your cruise ship is unable to dock at Roatan due to unforeseen circumstances.
Advance Cancellation: If you cancel your tour via email at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time.
Hurricane or Tropical Storm Alerts: If official alerts are issued that affect the safety or feasibility of the tour.
Unforeseen Operational Issues: In rare cases where a tour must be canceled due to staff illness, vehicle breakdown, or other internal operational issues.
No refunds will be issued.
Some tours require a minimum number of participants:
If the minimum number is not met, Roatan Five Stars reserves the right to cancel the tour.
Guests will be offered a full refund or the option to reschedule or switch to another available tour.
Note: Deposits are non-refundable but may be transferable to other Roatan Five Stars tours if those tours have space available and are scheduled to begin within 6 months from the date of the original tour.
If a cruise ship arrives late and the guest misses the tour:
Roatan Five Stars typically has the flexibility to reschedule tours on the same day, as the departure time for the cruise ship is also subject to change.
If rescheduling is not an option, such as in the case of Dolphin Encounters, guests may qualify for a partial refund based on the specific circumstances and timing involved.
Guests who fail to arrive at the designated meeting point within an hour of the scheduled time without prior notice will be considered a “no-show.” In such cases:
No refunds will be issued.
Rescheduling may be possible, subject to availability and at the discretion of Roatan Five Stars.
Requests to modify or reschedule a tour must be made at least 24 hours in advance.
All modifications are subject to availability.
If rescheduling is not possible, the standard cancellation policy will apply.
If you booked your tour through a third-party platform or travel agency, please refer to their specific cancellation and refund policies. Roatan Five Stars is not responsible for refunds or cancellations made through third-party entities.

It is approximately 77 kilometres (48 miles) long, and less than 8 kilometres (5.0 miles) across at its widest point. Highest point is 1,011 feet.
As a native, I can honestly say that is a paradise and a very quiet and safe place to visit and enjoy. We quote a phrase from Amanda Wilkins about “Roatan Safety” “I can say with absolute honesty that I looked over my shoulder far more often walking around Washington, DC, than I do around here. Having lived in wildly different settings around the world, I can say I feel safe living in Roatan.”

At Roatan Five Stars, most of our tours require a minimum number of participants to operate. If you are traveling alone, we encourage you to contact us before booking to confirm availability or to check whether we already have other guests scheduled for your desired tour date.
In many cases, solo travelers can be added to an existing group. If no other bookings are scheduled, we may need to reschedule your tour, suggest alternatives, or provide a full refund.
