My husband and I had a fantastic experience, our excursion guide Louis was exceptional! He was extremely knowledgeable and personable, made us feel welcome and at home in Roatan. We thoroughly enjoyed the snorkeling tour and his explanation of the history and culture of the island. If you are going to take a snorkeling tour on the island- this is the one you want!

During the tour Louis made a detour to a local pharmacy. Mask-ne was leaving my face raw and irritated. He accompanied me in the pharmacy and served as a translator to buy the medicated cream I needed. Louis is a gem!!!

I love snorkeling and my wife does it with me, even though she is not a confident swimmer and does not being in deep ocean water. Well our guide Louis actually got in the water with us and made my wife feel “totally comfortable and safe” the entire time which allowed us to experience one of the best snorkeling excursions of our lives. Our driver Eric was waiting for us as soon as we exited the dock. He was polite and knowledgeable showing us sights as we traveled with one other couple about 20 minutes to our boat. Our guide was Louis and his captain was John Carlos. Louis was just a genuinely nice guy who clearly loved what he was doing. The second stop was the best for me featuring “the drop,” which I don’t think my wife would have done with any other guide. It was a true natural aquarium with loads of beautiful fish and coral reef. I highly recommend this tour and would go as far as advising Celebrity Cruises to make the a part of the excursions they sponsor.

Awesome, Awesome, Awesome! What a wonderful day for my daughter and I. Louis and Juan Carlos provided us with a fantastic day. Beautiful snorkeling, great snacks and drinks and lots of information about the island. The starfish were unbelievable!

Please do yourself a favor and skip the overpriced cruise or resort tours and book directly with Roatan Five Stars. You’ll save money and will be dealing with a first class operation that stresses personalized service. We had an absolutely amazing experience! Our guide Luis picked us up at our resort and was a wealth of knowledge regarding the history and current events of Roatan. He kept us well hydrated with water, soda, and fresh sweet watermelon in between our snorkel sites. Our return trip was along the north shore so he could show us different towns at the end of our journey. Capital Wilmer took us to some beautiful snorkeling sites and was in the water to guide us through the reef and point out various species of fish including some very large conch. We specifically wanted to see the starfish and were not disappointed. All equipment was provided including life/swim vests if needed. We’re coming back with our boys and Roatan Five Stars will be our only option for future tours.
